I say things that I don’t mean,
Then I let you go,
Sometimes I want you to,
but when you are not around,
I start missing you,

I feel empty inside,
The loneliness, it burns too,
Chocolate doesn’t taste the same,
All those romantic songs now hurt without you,
I try to sleep, but every dream is about you,
I try to smoke, but even that couldn’t fade you,

It’s Saturday night and raining outside,
My neighbors, they are already inquiring about you,
So wherever you are, whatever you are doing,
Just come back coz I really need you,



I am young, you are cute,
my heart is in mess,
I need to see you,
It’s the daily habit to have you around,
My smile goes missing without you,
I am not good with people,
I ain’t that good with solitude,
People have friends,

Girl, You are the fear of losing job,
You are the fright that gets me on stage,
I live in my room of twelve by ten,
but it’s you who occupy the place,

You are the girl my mum warned me about,
but somehow I am adamant on buying pain,
Whenever I see you,
My brain stops, panic strikes again,

Please ignore any gibberish that I would say;
this stuttering is not a medical condition,
it happens every time I talk to you,
my brain stops thinking, you become the obsession,

It’s just my unconscious mind,
that is stuck on you,
You are the phobia that happens to me on heights,
You are the adrenaline that gets me when I fight,
I know I am a bit of a flirt,
but whenever I see you I believe in love at first sight,

You are the craze when I listen to music at full volume,
You are mania that spills out of control,
My case is incorrigible,
you are the vaccine, perhaps you are the healing alcohol,



If you still doubt my intentions,
you can check my passport,
Apart from getting heartbroken a few times,
I don’t have any criminal record,

Loving you is the only serious illness I am carrying,
Every minute without you is shortening my age,
Your refusal could become carcinogenic,
Without even smoking a cigarette,

You are the frostbite that has numbed my senses,
You are the cobra’s sting that has paralyzed me,

“You are an idiot but I still like you…”

Sun went into the clouds that day,
wind lightly whispering as leaning to say,
dressed in black blazers, white shirt, and a black tie,
I brushed my hairs twice and gave the gel a try,
then took my bike and headed to the school,
all girls looked at me, they thought I was cool,

With a rose in my hand, I stood up against the wall,
glanced through the crowd that was chirping like birds in the hall,
struck by the girl in the black dress with a delicate accent,
Oh god! I never knew she was that cute and elegant,
Her prettiness was tearing me apart,
I was losing myself, she had already taken my heart,

I gave her a red rose and said “Be my valentine”,
“I have finally lost my heart this time”,
she saw me falling for her,
and said, “You never get serious for any girl”,
she kept the rose on the bench and went away,
I also left for the parking, there was no reason to stay,



I was riding my bike when saw her standing at the gate,
thought to try again but didn’t want my heart to break,
Anyways, I went to her and offered my hand,
“My sweetheart life is like footprints on the sand,
you will never be so beautiful again,
as young I am, neither I will remain the same”,

Sun went into the clouds and winds whispering by,
when she leaned on my shoulders, sitting on a hillside,
she said, “You are an idiot but I still like you”,
you are not what I want but you are you”,
those moments like bubbles met the same end,
she kept her head on my shoulder, holding the rose in the other hand…
